Southeast

Since 1978, KeraLink Southeast/The Medical Eye Bank of Florida in Orlando has been supporting the region’s need for ocular tissue. We offer comprehensive resources for grieving donor families, transplant patients, and surgeons locally and nationally, as well as to numerous partner eye banks that we support throughout the world. This location operates a full-service eye bank: recovering, processing, and distributing ocular tissue throughout the region and beyond.
Our staff is heavily invested in community outreach to increase awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation and to encourage registration with Florida’s Joshua Abbott Organ and Tissue Donor Registry and the National Donor Registry.

We work closely with hospitals and donation partners to provide education about the referral and donation process and to maximize all opportunities for eye and cornea donation so more people can experience the Gift of Sight.
We provide bereavement and recognition services for donor and donor families and spearhead a Gift of Sight Donation Quilt Program to showcase the lives and legacies of cornea donor’s and their families throughout Central Florida. These beautiful quilts, lovingly designed and created by donor families and volunteers in the community, are a tremendous source of inspiration and hope to those considering donation and to those whose lives have been forever changed by corneal transplantation.
As partners with Donate Life Florida, KeraLink also works to promote and recognize national donation observances including National Donate Life Month, National Minority Donor Awareness Week, and National Donor Sabbath; as well as support outreach through Florida’s tax collector and driver’s license offices.
